Screen Door Needleworks
This reproduction sampler was stitched in commemoration of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, marking her 50th year on the throne, by Agnes in 1887 when she was 17 years old. She used only 3 colors: a medium red, a dark red, and a golden color. This was a delight to stitch and I had fun thinking about all the celebrations that were taking place during the time she worked on it.
I stitched the model on 40 count Vintage Sand by Fox & Rabbit using Gloriana Bellagio Red, Gloriana Rosewood, and Gumnuts 927.
The stitch count is 179 x 173
